Shawry’s Music

Seriously (© 2015)

The idea for this song was based on one of life’s misfortunes. What would you say and do to the partner you dumped only to realise that they were the prefect one. In most cases you wouldn’t stand a chance of ever getting them back, but, lets suppose you have the chance to invite them back; for coffee perhaps? Yes I know, only in song land  :)

Seriously       by Andrew Shaw (© 2015)

Verse 1

We’re alone at last

I secure my feet

In spite of the fact I’m facing east

Who can ever tell what’s under the sheets

Chorus

Seriously, at times I am ashamed

A camra clicks then it’s framed

Reality’s a staircase leading nowhere

With onlookers hard faced stares

Seriously I mean

Wish I could go back in time

When all you had to be was just kind

We’d have sat under the willow tree

Seriously, I would have got down on one knee

Seriously I wish that I had made you mine

Seriously,I wish that I had made you mine

Verse 2

Thanks for being here

Oh my, that’s, that’s my toes

Just  watch my legs fly from here to there

My love for you I hope you don’t oppose

Chorus Repeat

Seriously at times I feel so daft

Leaving you has been such hard graft

Don’t know what you’re missing ‘till it’s gone

Now I know that you’re the one

Seriously mean it

Wish I could go back in time

When all you had to be was kind

We’d have sat under the willow tree

Seriously, I would have got down on one knee

Seriously, I wish that I had made you mine

Seriously, I wish that I had made you mine

(Whispers) Please say yes
